About This Fundraiser
There are many North Korean defectors living undercover in China after having already been through a lot. During this time, they face risks of extortion, sex trafficking, and deportation back to North Korea where they can face inhumane prison conditions and even execution. While researching this year I have gotten to know a few who were successful in making it out of China to a third country and are now living in South Korea;among the most inspiring people I've had the pleasure to meet.
The money raised will go to facilitating the safe relocation of such persons. While it takes around $2500 to deliver one to safety, every penny counts.
