About This Fundraiser
Welcome to my fundraising page!
My name is Joe, an English teacher from California working in Seoul. In my free time, I volunteer with the NKHR Rescue Fund, helping them raise money for North Korean escapees hoping to leave China and enter South Korea. I have been a part of the team since March 2014, and it has been absolutely fulfilling helping those affected by the severe human rights issues in North Korea
One of my life passions is running, and I have completed three 5 K’s, three 10 K’s, three half-marathons, and 12 marathons since I started long distance running in 2008. For my next half-marathon, I have my eyes set on The Kim Dae Jung Peace Marathon in June. I hope to make this race special by running for charity for the first time!
Help me reach my goal of $250.00 (~250,000 won) by donating to my fundraising page. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated; the refugees of North Korea need every bit of help they can get.
