About Us

Where we are now is building a CrossCulture Community in Asia and that involves followers of Jesus who are carrying the Cross (death, burial & resurrection) and living in Culture (Jesus’ launching of the Kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit’s transforming us) as a Community (fulfilling mandate to "go and make disciples) in Asia.

How did we get to here? God brought Bill to Korea as a missionary in 1982. God led Bill and Niki to relaunch (raise support) as missionaries in 2015 while working part-time as lead pastor of Sinchon Church International Community (SCIC) in the Sinchon area of Seoul. They are living in Seoul, but they are building a CrossCulture Community in Asia. You can help them as they are fundraising in 2023 to be full-time missionaries in Asia. Your prayer and support will allow them to make disciples, preach and teach the gospel, mentor pastors and lay people as well as enable them to assist and develop mission projects. Many thanks to CrossCulture Community and Bill and Niki as missionaries. Please pray and consider giving your financial support.

Life Testimony: Bill Majors accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at eight years old. Bill surrendered his life as a missionary when he was attending a youth camp for Junior High students. In a Christian college, Bill was studying missions and met a Korean student and they became roommates. Through that friend, Bill was invited to come to Korea as a short-term missionary in Youth For Christ (YFC). After graduating a year early, Bill went back to his home church to be ordained and sent out to be a missionary in Korea (1982). With a one-way ticket and $900 in his pocket, Bill went out by faith.

After six months with YFC, one year in language school, four years as a volunteer living in an orphanage and then falling in love and getting married in Korea to Niki (Ja Kyung), Bill started working with Christian Business Men's Committee (CBMC) in Seoul and Asia.  At that time, a Korean church (Young Nak) invited Bill to translate (Korean to English) during their Sunday Worship services for the English-speaking visitors. After five years of working with Young Nak, the senior pastor challenged Bill to return to the US for seminary. With prayer and long discussions, Bill and Niki (two daughters: Sarah was 3 and Anna was 1) decided to go to Dallas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary (1993-1995). As a full-time student, Bill also served as an English pastor in Binnerri Korean Church (Korean Presbyterian Church of Dallas). Binnerri Church is a Korean Church with two languages. Korean language for the parents and grandparents who immigrated to the states and English for their second generation children and grandchildren. That was Bill's first experience to see a church with two languages groups in one church. In November 1994, there was a terrible accident that happened when Bill was working at the church and fell off a ten-foot ladder. After brain surgery and eleven months of rehabilitation, God gave Bill a new life and a new vision for ministry as a missionary/pastor.

In 1996, Bill, Niki, Sarah, and Anna returned to Seoul to continue serving as missionaries, but this time Bill felt had a calling to be a pastor. Having served at Young Nak Church, Bill pursued starting an International Worship in English at Young Nak Church. God gave Bill the opportunity to teach English at Hanyang University (tent-making missionary) and start a new ministry as a volunteer pastor at Young Nak Church. April 1998, the International Worship in English (IWE) began with a target to reach out to English-speaking people from around the world who came to Korea to work, study and as tourists. In 2002, IWE had grown to an average of 300 people in attendance (two worship services), and Bill was able to resign at the university and serve for the next ten years as a full-time pastor at Young Nak (through July 2012). Taking a break as the lead pastor of IWE, after nearly 15 years, God led Bill and Niki to Houston to learn hospital chaplaincy in a one-year residency at MD Anderson Cancer Center (4 units in CPE). In November 2013, Bill returned to Seoul and started preaching on Sundays for English speaking congregations. Since Bill had attended Doctor of Ministry classes at Biola, Talbot School of Theology during the summers of 2007, 2008 and 2009, Bill was now focused on doing the research and writing the dissertation to allow him to graduate with a D.MIN., May 22, 2015. Miracles do happen.

2022 is a new beginning. This year, God willing, fundraising will allow Bill and Niki to be full-time missionaries.
