1U Project’s greatest desire is to serve Ukrainian orphans and their communities. As a non-profit, we rely on God to provide funds through the generous donations of countless individuals and organizations to achieve our goal. While we have specific projects that require funding, our general fund is vital to ensuring that every need is met for each of our ministry partners.
Money given to our general fund covers specific shortages and miscellaneous costs that arise outside of our committed monthly donations. A few examples are: fuel pellets that provide heat in winter to the Renewal Center, shipping fees for donations, administration fees, translator fees for our team members who travel to Ukraine, and birthday presents for kids and caregivers.
Having a healthy reserve in our General Fund will give us the freedom to meet needs as they arise without delay. Once a healthy reserve is established, we will have a greater opportunity to further the reach of each of our ministry partners and serve an even greater number of orphaned and at-risk children and youth.
