Hello there! Thanks for taking the time to check out my fundraising page. As you know, I have been living and teaching in South Korea for the past 8 months. Upon moving here, I had hoped for opportunities to serve the people around me that extended beyond my job as an English teacher. As the months unfolded, I began to learn more about the serious crisis in North Korea, and came to understand the desperate need to help those who have escaped and are starting a new life in South Korea. As a participator in this fundraiser, I am thrilled to be able to combine two of my greatest passions: social justice and running, in order to help raise money for North Korean defectors. My goal is to reach $500 by June 14, the day of the race! No amount is too small. Through your donation, we can make a significant impact on this great need!
